MERCEDES-BENZ 130H
Saloon, saloon with sunshine roof, cabriolet-limousine.
Singularly unsuccessful, yet a really innovative design from Hans Nibel. Uninspired engine was rear mounted in a backbone chassis in unit with the clutch and three speed and overdrive gearbox. Suspension was independent all round (swing axle at the rear, transverse leaf springs at the front). The car looks like a large Beetle but never caught on. The styling is, well, different.
