MERCEDES-BENZ 300SEL 6.3 SALOON

4-door 5-seater saloon.

The most exciting M-B 'hot-rod' of the period. Waxenberger's masterpiece, having 600 limousine's engine and transmission in longer-wheelbase S-Class structure and suspensions. 'Big brother' of 300 SEL 3.5, with 250bhp, massive torque and 137mph top speed. Other mechanical gizmos included air suspension (self-levelling), four wheel disc brakes and power-assisted everything. By any standards an amazing car, with unexpectedly excellent handling.
