MERCEDES-BENZ 380K
Saloon, cabriolet A, cabriolet B, cabriolet C, sports roadster, fixed-head coupé, drophead coupé.
The return of the supercharged Mercedes, this car paved the way for future sports models. All round independent suspension was used, with swinging axle type at the rear, and at the front there was ifs by parallel wishbones and coil springs, said to be the first production application of such a system. Not particularly quick, even with the pedal pressure operated blower engaged - 90mph was just about possible. Expensive at £1534 for a saloon, but they were all attractive, especially the sports roadster.
