MG 1300

2-door/4-door 4-seater saloon.

The last of the Hydrolastic-suspension, tuned/badge-engineered versions of the Austin/Morris 1100, still with some graceful Pininfarina style but traditional MG grille. Interior had wooden facia and plusher trim to help justify the price. No four-door cars after 1968, or automatic option after 1969, and all those sold in seventies had twin SUs and 170bhp, 95mph performance, and soft (sick-making?) ride.
