MORRIS MINOR 1000 (1962-71)

2-door 4-seater saloon/4-door 4-seater saloon/estate.

Second generation of Minor 1000s, with enlarged A-Series engine, running gracefully down towards retirement. No convertibles (dropped in 1969), and only 'Traveller' estate lasted into 1971. 48bhp engine gave top speed in high 70s, while drum brakes could still cope. Once famed handling now looking to hard, but car had great period charm, simplicity and durability. Once ignored, even pitied, these Minors are now respect collectable cars, restored everywhere.
