Third generation so-called 'compact' from GM, significantly larger, heavier and more powerful than before - all US cars were getting larger in sixties. Like other GM 'compacts' of the period, had tow wheelbases (116ins for 4-door, 112ins for 2-door cars), in otherwise conventional layout which lasted for a decade with periodic sharpened-up of style. Big V8s on top-option cars, but most bought their Cutlasses with 4.1-litre 'six'. Few sold here in seventies but then, does anyone care?
