OLDSMOBILE EIGHT (1935-37)

4-door saloon, touring saloon, convertible coupé, touring coupé, sports coupé.

Until '37, very similar in appearance to its smaller engine brother, '35s have vee 'screen, die cast chrome grille, chrome plated hood louvres and familiar GM Turret Top styling. '36 saw wide chrome strip running down centre of grille, headlights mounted closer and higher, and front hinged doors. Larger engine was a '37 change, and Eight now used square mesh grille and squared off lights. Again good value at £420 for a coupé ('36). You could get 85mph out of one.
