Packard
PACKARD SUPER 8 (1935-37)

Limousine.

Mechanical details as per '34 cars until 1936, when there was a new tapered I-beam frame, wire wheels were dropped and hydraulic brakes introduced. Wheelbases reduced from 132, 139 and 144ins to 127, 134 and 139ins, while the long lived Bijur chassis lubrication also abandoned. Sales falling, partly due to competition from other firms and partly through expansion into lower price braket with the 120; a Super 8 limo would set you back £1595 in '36, which was a lot of money.
