PEUGEOT 183

Saloon, 6-seater saloon, sunshine coupé.

Very ordinary motor car, this was the first of a new line of late twenties models for the firm and cost £380 in '31. An unspectacular performer (it would just better 60mph) it was reliable, had a four speed 'box, came on a 117¾ins frame, and used spiral bevel final drive. Rare in Britain, and it's the kind of car that Denis Jenkinson calls 'dull grey porridge'.
