A thirties design at last, the 402 was the firm's first 'aerodyamic' car, distinguished by the Fiat 'beetle'-like bonnet and the headlamps and battery housed between grille and radiator. Cantilever rear suspension used, with independent action at the front, synchro was in on the three speed 'box complete with dashboard change, and there was a choice of two wheelbases, 124ins and 130ins. Engine had overhead valves and a short stroke, and only the larger unit was imported.
