PEUGEOT 402DS

Coupé, roadster.

The sports version of the 402. One was fifth at Le Mans in 1938, and while the road cars weren't as highly tuned as the racers (only with 8.4:1 cr), they were good for 95mph. Like the 402L it used a 302 chassis and was in 1991cc form to keep within the 2-litre capacity class. Paulin designed the body, the roadsters had fully retractable 'screens, and all  were very attractive looking, very rare and very expensive.
