PEUGEOT 402L

4-door saloon, 2-door saloon, 2-door cabriolet.

'L' stands for Légère (light) and this was a 'bitza', using a 402 engine in a 302 frame (with a shorter wheelbase of 1131/2ins). Like the 402, only imported with larger engine, and it was also available with a Cotal electric 'box with or without overdrive for £30 extra cost. All 402 convertibles now much sought after in the same way that Citroën Traction Avant décapotables are.
