PEUGEOT 504 V6 COUPE/CABRIOLET

2-door 4-seater coupé/cabriolet.

The first-ever Peugeot to use the co-operative PRV 90-deg V6 engine, at first with 136bhp and carbs, but 144bhp with injection from end '77. Same basic structure and suspension as other 504s, with four-speed box at first but five-speeds from 1978; automatic transmission on some. Style virtually unchanged through the decade, and combination of Peugeot chassis, 115mph top speed, and Pininfarina lines made an intriguing mixture. Not a supercar, but had great chic, very few in the UK, most being personal imports.
