Fuel injection, longer wheelbase, self-levelling gas struts to front, wide rims, flared arches; replaces 911L, which is thus always a swb car. 2.2-litre engine (155bhp), with magnesium alloy crankcase 1969 for 1970, also quartz halogen headlamps as on other 911s by then. These 1970 models mark a new maturity for the 911.
