RELIANT KITTEN
2-door 4-seater saloon/estate.
After a three-year gap, Reliant once again converted three-wheeler to four-wheeler - Robin to Kitten - with style by Ogle. As before, simple separate chassis, Reliant's own engine (stretched up to 40bhp/848cc) and glass-fibre shell. 80mph and 45mpg gave it real kitten-like performance, with taxi-like 23 foot turning circle. More expensive than its mass-produced rivals (Mini, 127, etc) so always a slow seller. Not replaced when production ended in early eighties.
