The famous Harry Rose penned engine, still following Riley design principles, and destined for over 20 years of production. Engine had three mains and coil ignition, was mated to a preselector 'box, there was a new frame with cruciform bracing, and Girling rod brakes. Automatic Bijur chassis lubrication was standard, the 51ins wide track chassis came in for '36 on the Adelphi, Continental and the six-light Kestrel models, and there were three wheelbases: 109ins, 106ins and 112ins. All were available with a Sprite type engine, giving 80mph capability.
