The most beautiful sports car of the era? With its flowing wings, long bonnet and rounded tail, all splendidly proportioned, it is a classic in the true sense of the word. It went, too (90mph top speed), for the engine had dural con-rods, Scintilla magneto ignition, twin SUs and six branch exhaust. Chassis was based on the '33 TT racer, underslung at the rear, passing above the front axle, radius rods were fitted at the front, extensive use was made of light alloy and the massive finned brake drums were of 15ins diameter. You could have any of the three engines, a choice of preselector or close ratio silent third 'box, but it was expensive at £550. Now so sought after that there are more MPHs around than the 15 or so which were made...
