ROLLS-ROYCE CORNICHE II

2-door 5-seater saloon/convertible.

Though visually little changed, Corniche II was Corniche I with all the Silver Shadow II mechanical improvements, including rack and pinion steering and split-level air-conditioning. Saloon was dropped from end '80 after Spirit was launched, but convertible carries on today, at about 300 cars a year. Latest Spirit rear suspension used from 1979. Assembly, as always, completed in Park Royal, London. Bentley equivalent was 'Corniche' until 1984, changed to 'Continental'. Amazingly luxurious, well-built and expensive.
