An old fashioned car, really a modernised Phantom I with all the Ghost influences swept away, but very desirable all the same. Two chassis lengths, 144ins and 150ins, there was a four speed 'box with rh change, servo mechanical brakes, the engine had seven main bearings and dual ignition, and the ohv head was a one piece aluminium casting. Braking and handling were superb, as was top gear performance, and the car was a coachbuilder's dream, witness the superb Barker bodied cars with elegant scalloped wings and perfect proportions. A standard saloon cost £2425...
