Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce
ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM II CONTINENTAL

Various specials.

Very desirable. Distinguished from the standard offering by flatter springs, twin dampers at the front (Hartfords and R-R devices), a higher (3.7:1, later 3.4:1) rear axle ratio, while some but not all had high lift cams. Most were built on the 144ins wheelbase, from '33 there was synchro on the top two ratios, joined by second gear in '35. The Continental belonged to an age when it was possible to show your wealth, and this 90mph plus car was endowed with some fabulous coachwork. If you can find one, unbelievably pricey today.
