SINGER 11HP

Saloon, Airstream saloon, drophead coupé, special sports saloon.

Overhead cams all round, and this was yet another engine from the firm. More importantly, perhaps, there was coil spring ifs, with semi-elliptics retained at the rear. Hydraulic brakes were there, the frame had a 100ins wheelbase, and the Airstream saloon was a slab-sided monstrosity serving as the basis for a mock Chrysler 'Airflow' - an overhanging nose further ruined any lines it had. Special sports saloon had twin carbs, a rev counter and clock, while '36 models reverted to beam front axles, used the large engine and had a four-speed synchro 'box.
