SINGER 16 IFS

Saloon, special sports saloon.

Updated version of the 2-litre, now fitted with coil spring ifs. Fluidrive transmission was standard, the model had a 114ins wheelbase frame with cruciform cross-bracing, and the new coachwork had a pronounced rear overhang, much like a scaled up Nine IFS model. '36s were slightly cleaner, with a central radiator bar, horizontal bonnet spear instead of previous season's louvres, and DWS built-in jacks were used. Quite advanced by thirties British standards, but that's not saying much.
