SINGER BANTAM ROADSTER

Open 4-seater.

Not a real Singer sports car, more a touring car in fact. Occasional four-seater only, it was spoiled by a horribly wide ratio three-speed 'box. Producing 6bhp more than the Bantam thanks to more efficient manifolding and an SU downdraught carb in place of the Bantam's Solex, top speed was around 65mph, with 38mph the limit in second. A ladies'car if ever there was one, it enjoyed quite a vogue overseas and was still available in 1955 with ifs.
