SINGER CHAMOIS/CHAMOIS SPORT/CHAMOIS COUPE

2-door saloon/coupé.

The slightly up-market 'badge'engineered' versions of the Hillman/Sunbeam Imps, with a bit of extra trim and different seat patterns to justify the price. Same 'chassis', same Linwood assembly, and same unreliable overhead-cam engines, so why bother? Chamois Sport had 50bhp twin-carb engine, like other Imp Sports. Singer was phased out b new owners Chrysler, but no-one seemed to care. Even so, good handling, and 90mph top speed for twin-carb models made them entertaining - while they were still running!
