SINGER NINE LE MANS

Sports, 4-seater, 2-seater, Special Speed Model, coupé, sports saloon.

More engine modifications numbered high lift cam, counter-balanced crank and deeper ribbed sump. Two seater gad swept wings but no running boards, twin spare wheels mounted behind the slab tank and rorty exhaust note. It was somewhat undergeared but did well in trials - and cost all of £215. With the engine capable of running up to 6000rpm, 75mph was on the card for Special Speed two-seaters, but the car's reputation was ruined by a disastrous crash eliminating three of the '35 TT cars at Ards - buyers didn't trust a car on which the steering arms broke.
