SINGER TWELVE-FOUR

Saloon, saloon de luxe, coupé de luxe.

Enlarged version of Ten engine mounted in the 1081/2ins 14/6 frame. A hard slogger of an engine was mated to a four-speed 'silent third' box with clutchless change standard on '34 de luxes. Mechanical brakes were replaced by hydraulics for '34 and the car provided good value at £199 for the standard machine, £225 for the de luxe. The latter gave you extras such as all round safety glass, hide upholstery, bumpers, and three ashtrays.
