SUNBEAM MK III/MK IIIS

Sports saloon, drophead coupè.

Always plain Sunbeams. 90 developments with an overdrive option, slotted wheel discs, and three rectangular bonnet portholes each side. Best of the bunch, though no dropheads after October '55. Later saloons often in two-tone paintwork. Mk IIIS (30-40 saloons converted by Castles of Leicester ) has overdrive, floor change, straight-through exhaust, and big-valve head; also bonnet air-scoop and Halda Speed Pilot.
