Centre-lock wire wheels, transverse-leaf ifs, and hydraulic brakes; Wilson pre-selector 'box. Some lovely bodies by Saoutchik and Figoni et Falaschi. Ultra-short 8ft 8in wheelbase until 1950; 9ft 2in thereafter, until new 9ft 6in chassis introduced for last-ditch restyled close-coupled coupè of 1953-54 with 210bhp engine and in-house body.
