TRIUMPH 2500S SALOON/ESTATE

4-door 5-seater saloon/estate.

Final development of the Triumph 2000 theme, and displacing the fuel-injected 2.5PI, the 2500S was an uprated version of the 2500TV, this time with 106bhp and a 105mph top speed. Overdrive, power-assisted steering, stiffer suspension and Stag-type 14ins alloy wheels all standard, making this the most comprehensively equipped of all the 'big' Triumphs. The best of a very popular bunch, no doubt about that, but short lived, as the Rover 2600 effectively took over in 1978.
