TRIUMPH GLORIA SOUTHERN CROSS

2-seater sports.

In effect a cut-down Monte Carlo (itself a standard tourer with exposed rear tank and twin rear mounted spare wheels), they both came on shorter chassis (96ins for the Four and 104ins for the Six) and were fitted with the Vitesse engine. Motoring magazines of the day liked them - but the press then liked most things - and reported excellent roadholding, braking and steering, as well as recording maximum speeds of around 80mph for the 'sixes'.
