TRIUMPH MAYFLOWER

2-door saloon, drophead coupè.

Odd little unitary saloon using alloy-head adaptation of pre-war Standard 10 engine with Vanguard gearbox and back axle; coil ifs and hydraulic brakes. Flexible and frugal but razor-edge upper works don't blend well with slab slides and handling just isn't. Reasonable rust record and a lively following. Ten dropheads made 1950.
