Triumph
TRIUMPH TOLEDO

2-door/4-door 4-seater saloon.

Major philosophical reshuffle for Triumph in the seventies meant Toledo was conventional rear drive/beam axle derivative under modified front-drive 1300 body shell! For the UK, had the 1.3-litre engine, but 1500s in some overseas examples. Stubby tail, plus cheap and cheerful nose at first, with specification gradually improving over the years - four door models from '72, and servo front discs from '73. A very dull, worthy and profitable little car, which could do 80mph. Replaced by the Dolomite 1300 in 1976.
