VAUXHALL VENTORA/VICTOR 3300 (FE TYPE)

4-door 5-seater saloon/estate car.

As with all other Fes, these cars were direct descendants of the FDs, but with the new Opel Rekord floorpan and new crisped-up styling. 3300SL Estates gave way to Ventora equivalents for 1974, by which time all varieties had power steering. This was the final fling for the Bedford straight six engine, which could only offer a 102mph top speed, no better than the VX4/90. Predictably, then, the Ventora gave way to the VX 4/90-derived 2300 GLS after 1976.
