The Victor comes into line stylistically with the latest Viva, but more important is the new hemi-head belt-driven ohc engine; in 1600 form 83bhp spells 90mph. Steering is now by rack-and-pinion, front discs are optional on '1600', live rear axle is coil-sprung, and although three-speed column change is standard, four-on-the-floor is optional, with or without overdrive. 'box available for '70, when car renamed Victor Super. Optional on these more basically trimmed variants is the 2000cc engine, complete with standard servo'd front discs.
