Poor man's Porsche with Targa-type body and initially using 80bhp fuel-injected VW 411 engine; five-speed all-synchro 'box, all-coil springing (strut at front), and four-wheel discs. Porsche Sportomatic transmission available, and car gives 100+mph and good handling; lacks punch, though. For 1973, 2-litre version replaces 914/6; 1.7-litre has capacity to increase for 1974. Most 914s went to the States, so a rarity here.
