Porsche
PORSCHE 914/6

2-door 2-seater sports car.

Porsche's unsuccessful attempt to jazz up the 914 design, with a 'real' 911T Porsche engine transplant of 110bhp, and with Porsche-type alloy wheels. As far as the Porsche punters were concerned, this was neither fish nor fowl, so it didn't sell, despite a 120mph top speed and excellent, if rather sudden breakaway, handling. For the UK, there were no right-hand drive models anyway, and it wasn't cheap - £3475 in 1970, almost as much as a 911T. Nowadays, however, a 914/6 is definitely a 'classic' for preservation.
