WILLYS EIGHT

Saloon.

Attempts to go upmarket, a move which failed in the 'States-it lasted three years and was then dropped. Engine had five bearings and coil ignition, the gearbox still didn't have any synchromesh, and the 121ins frame was cartsprung. 70mph was within its reach, brakes were Bendix mechanicals, and there were curved vee-grilles and attractive lines. Unlikely that many sold over here at £450.
