WILLYS LIGHT FOUR WHIPPET

Saloon.

Successful run-of-the-mill sidevalve four-cylinder offering. Main virtues were reliability and low price (£210 in this country), the engine had pump cooling and coil ignition, there was a three-speed 'box with central change, and the 103 1/4ins wheelbase frame had cart springs and beam axles at both ends. Artillery wheels and perpendicular styling contributed to anonymous looks.
