Wolseley

Wolseley
WOLSELEY 18/85 and 18/85S Mk II

4-door 6-seater saloon.

Yet another badge engineered BMC car - this time from the Austin/Morris 'Land Crab' model, complete with transverse B-Series engine and Hydrolastic suspension, dumpy styling but simply cavernous interior. Usual Wolseley wooden facia and gew-gaws, with front disc brakes and optional automatic. 'S' had twin carbs and 96bhp, compared with 87bhp for basic models. 97mph even with 87bhp - which says something for the aerodynamics, at least!
