WOLSELEY HORNET (1930-32)

Tourer, saloon, fabric saloon, special saloon, 6-light fabric saloon, fixed-head coupé, drophead coupé, 2/3 - seater roadster, Varsity sports roadster.

An engine looking for a chassis, for while the bevel drive ohc engine gave enough power to propel 14½ cwt of car at over 60mph without needing to use abysmal axle ratios, the steering and primitive chassis were pretty dreadful. It had hydraulic dampers and brakes, initially Morris bodies were fitted and early '32s had four-speed 'boxes.
