WOLSELEY SERIES III 12/48

Saloon, sliding head saloon, coupé.

New for the '38 season was a revised 12/48, using the same running gear but with different styling, a new 98ins wheelbase frame with cruciform bracing and reduced ride height. The engine was mounted further forward in the frame, and a good gimmick was the phased suspension - in other words altered spring rates...styling was now more dumpy, there were external opening botts and the spare wheel had disapperes in a separate compartment under the boot.
