There have been three previous restoration competitions held between Porsche Centres and 2018's honoured the Boxster's 20th anniversary.
Each centre was given the task of taking a 986 Boxster S and restoring it to race specification. Not only that, but each car had to be finished in a livery inspired by the marque's motorsport heritage.
Staff members without any racing experience then competed in these cars in a three-round, six-race series called Restoracing at Brands Hatch and Silverstone.

And there's yet more – the ‘Project 70’ racing car will be at the NEC show, too.
It's been raced this year by famous names including Derek Bell, Anthony Reid and Richard Attwood, and is based on a 1965 short-wheelbase 911, with a 2.0-litre engine.
