Diana’s Audi to be auctioned at Blenheim

| 9 May 2013

A 1994 Audi Cabriolet that was once owned by Princess Diana is expected to make £20-25,000 when it goes up for sale at Coys on 29 June.

Valued at more than 10 times what you would normally expect to pay for the model, the 2.3-litre E (not a quattro as has been widely reported) was photographed by the paparazzi carrying Diana, plus Princes William and Harry on numerous occasions.

The Audi has just 21,000 miles on the clock, is said to be in immaculate condition and is currently on display at the Grange Hotel in London – where visitors have the opportunity to leave a sealed bid.

Coys’ MD Chris Routledge said: “We have put a guide price on the car, but we have no idea what it will go for.“

“We have already had enquiries from around the world and particularly from America.”
