Hundreds of classic cars will make their annual pilgrimage to Castle Combe for the Classic & Retro Action Day, taking place on 28 June at the Wiltshire circuit.
So far, more than 50 owners' clubs have confirmed their attendance and will be taking part in an impressive display within the grounds of the circuit. Organisers have made sure that enthusiasts who attend the show without a club won't be left out either, after announcing a Cherished Vehicle Display Car Park that is new for this year's event.
Discounted entry of just £10 (including driver) is being offered to visitors who arrive in their classic, with just £10 more enough to become involved in a slow parade lap of the track.
While the car park and club displays will offer plenty of metal to browse throughout the day, the real reason for the excitement is due to take place on the 1.85-mile circuit. Numerous themed track sessions have been planned, each split into age-related categories. Pre-1960s, Pre-1970s, Pre-1980s and Pre-1990s cars will all be allowed to lap the track, with visitors being offered the chance to take part in their own cars.
The organisers are keen to emphasise the inclusive nature of the sessions, with all abilities being catered for. Quick drives will be available for seasoned campaigners, with parade laps on offer for those taking life at a more sedate speed. Other sessions will be led by a pace car, which will be travelling at either 50mph or 70mph.
