Record-breaking numbers of enthusiasts flocked to Beaulieu’s 18-19 May Spring Autojumble.
The 16,507 people that attended the event beat the previous record of 15,324, which was set at the inaugural gathering in 1994.
As ever, the weekend promised a treasure trove of parts, with bits covering everything from the rarest classics to more abundant Youngtimers.
The Best Stand Trophy went to Mike Rowell’s stall, Classic Cars Spares, which offered new and second-hand car parts, workshop manuals, engines, gearboxes and axles.
Rowell, who has a vehicle recovery and scrap business based in Southampton, has been attending the event for the past 13 years.
The 1069 stands open for business represented another ‘best’ for Beaulieu, which also mustered 37 club displays.
The Dorset Branch of the Morris Minor Owners’ Club was the biggest, though, as it celebrated the marque’s centenary, bringing with it more than 200 cars from a 1913 Bullnose Morris Oxford to a 1983 Ital. All owners received an engraved travel clock to mark the occasion.
