A 1952 Ferrari 195 Inter has scooped the final FIVA Preservation Award of the year after going on display at Autoclasica 2016, held in Argentina from 7-10 October.
The Vignale-bodied Inter was first owned by Italian actress Anna Magnani before being exported to America in 1959 when it became part of the William Harrah Collection in Reno, Nevada. It remained in the collection for 36 years, after which it was bought by its current owner, Daniel Sielecki, who ran it in the Mille Miglia in 1996. Kept in incredibly original condition, it makes a worthy addition to the stellar lineup of recipients of the Preservation Award.
UNESCO’s regional director, Lidia Brito, was joined by the cultural representative for Argentina, Gloria Silva and FIVA president Patrick Rollet at the prizegiving.
Along with the 195 Inter, previous winners of the FIVA Preservation Award, including a 1953 Ferrari 375 Pinifarina Spider, an Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ Zagato and a 1930 Cord L-29 will be gathered in Paris from 16-20 November to go on show at UNESCO’s headquarters as part of World Motoring Heritage Year.
