Only 152 of these quad-cam sports cars were ever produced, with right-hand-drive cars being the rarest of the many variations on the theme.
And this example has already won awards overseas, so is sure to be a contender when it lines up as one of the 50 landmark Porsches vying for silverware at this anniversary concours.
Back in September 1957, this car was delivered new to an Australian hotelier.
Many years later, in 2014, it underwent a restoration, during which its original – and very striking – ruby red colour was reinstated, as well as the period-correct black-leather upholstery with corduroy inserts.
