Classic & Sports Car – Update: Drive-it Day 2020 is cancelled

The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) has announced that Drive-it Day 2020 has been cancelled.

This revised advice follows last Thursday’s statement pledging that the 26 April event would be held, under controlled conditions.

“In response to the updated guidance and restrictions issued by the UK government, the Federation recommends that all activities that involve taking a historic vehicle out on the road specifically for the purposes of Drive-it Day, now be abandoned,” said the FBHVC.

“All enthusiasts are now urged to stay at home on 26 April 2020 and not partake in any non-essential travel for Drive-it Day”.

In its place, the FBHVC is encouraging classic car enthusiasts to join a social media campaign using the hashtag #DriveitDayMemories to share photos of trips in your classics, or what work you’re doing to them whilst complying with restrictions and staying at home.
