This 1933 Bugatti Type 55 Roadster is Salon Privé’s ticket to one of the world’s most prestigious concours events.
The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award is an elite concours where the best-in-show winners from across the globe go head-to-head to find the most exceptional classic car of all, and Salon Privé has been invited to join.
Sealing the deal was this Type 55 Jean Bugatti Roadster which scooped ‘Best of Show’ at this year’s Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance at Salon Privé, but can it add to its trophy cabinet come February?
It will certainly take something very special to beat it as this car, chassis number 55234, is considered by many to be the most original of its kind as it’s the only unrestored example – and it’s done under 50,000 miles.
Of the approximately 16 Type 55 Roadsters built, only five still have their original mechanicals and coachwork, this being one of them.
