Goodwood’s first SpeedWeek is just days away, taking over the world-famous circuit on 16-18 October, and despite it being a behind-closed-doors event, organisers are pulling out the stops to make it an access-all-areas, free-to-view extravaganza.

Two streams will be broadcast on Goodwood’s website and social media channels, plus it will be shown live on TV – and right here!

Goodwood describes it as ‘the most interactive and immersive motorsport event ever staged’, and it certainly looks like a packed programme.

There’s an 180-person TV crew, 10 on-site presenters, 49 high-definition cameras plus 19 trackside and 15 live on-board cameras, and a 360-degree camera, plus two television studios, all powered by more than 12 miles of high-speed fibre cabling; it’s a massive undertaking.

And the good news is you don’t have to go anywhere to watch it, because right here we are streaming live from Goodwood, starting at 9am on Friday, and at 8:10am on Saturday and Sunday – just click the link above! Plus there will be a whole load of videos on the C&SC Facebook page across the weekend, with more on Twitter and Instagram.

For yet more, the two live streams on Goodwood’s website are the Track Stream and the SpeedWeek Stream. As the names suggest, the former focuses on the live racing action kicking off with the SF Edge Trophy practice at 9:15am on 16 October. And with a stellar cast of drivers, competition will be fierce.

Meanwhile the SpeedWeek Stream mixes the racing with entertainment, features and interviews, starting at 12pm on Friday. Famous faces include Jay Leno and Keanu Reeves, as well as insights from automotive industry insiders at Porsche, Toyota, Ford and more.

  • Friday 16 October at 4:30-6:30pm (ITV4)
  • Saturday 17 October at 2-4pm (ITV4)
  • Sunday 18 October at 2-4pm (ITV1)
      

Plus three highlights shows will be broadcast the following week on ITV4:

  • Wednesday 21 October at 9:30pm
  • Thursday 22 October at 8pm
  • Thursday 22 October at 9pm

As well as the historic racing, expect shootouts, a ‘Driftkhana’, supercar runs, a celebration of the late Sir Stirling Moss, rallying, plus Porsche, Formula One and TWR Jaguar demonstrations, and a lot more. Download the full timetable here.
